This time last year I was in sunny San Francisco on what was my first pilgrimage to the internet startup mecca which is Silicon Valley. It was a totally elucidating experience for me. Great things were happening in the Valley and I wanted to capture a little of that and bring it back to Lagos. I amazingly managed to wrangle myself an invitation to speak at the 2012 Stanford Africa Forum. En route, I had a little car crash. I was a passenger in a taxi. Nothing major but definitely unexpected. I had pretty bad whiplash for the following week or two. 

Last week in Accra I spoke at the MEST incubator and during one of the panels I distilled my simple declaration on managing ones expectations of life. ‘I am alive, I have my health, I love what I do. Everything else is vanity’. 

Now it’s back to creating something awesome.
